Tradition Mas de Lavail 2013

  • Red berries, fine spices, silky tannins and a liquorice finish made by Jean Batlle. He was born into a winemaking family and is passionate and meticulous and he has also taken his own son Nicolas into the tradition as his father did. Choosing sustainable agriculture together they pamper an area of 80 hectares beautifully situated in a natural corridor between the Pyrenees and the Corbières. At the foot of the Cathar citadel of Quéribus, the vineyard offers the vision of a multitude of black patches of rounded ridges sandwiched between powerful white limestone cliffs. 1999

  • A very attractive and rich mix of flavours, with small berries red fruit, liquorice and herbs. This wine takes its time to release its full potential, it is still very young and benefits greatly from decanting. It is very juicy, with the rich flavours being present on the palate, it has a certain saltiness about it which makes it the perfect match with your favourites chargrilled dish. A young which deserves time in the cellar. Loic Le Calzev, Wine Truth
