Domaine Guinand 2014 Shiraz

  • "Intense sweet blackberry, cassis, plum and cinnamon, lovely flavours all working together" - this wine delivers. It is from Domaine Guinand located in Saint Christol ,a small village between the Mediterranean Sea and the Cevennes which enjoys the name "Saint-Christol Terroir". The nature of its soil, mostly made up of colluvial terraces and sandy marl, provide a unique complexity to the Shiraz. Deep purple and strong floral bouquet of violets and black currents. Soft and fleshy on the palate with long lasting finish and silky tanins.

  • This wine is Christmas cake in a glass, with intense sweet blackberry, cassis, plum and cinnamon, lovely flavours all working together. On the palate, it is classic Shiraz-Carignan, quite savoury, full bodied and the flavours keep going and going. Fantastic value from a very reputable producer, a staple for any French wine lover.
