Chateau Teyssier is a Saint Emillion Grand Cru situated in the heart of the Saint Emillion Appellation.
The Estate is stepped in history that dates back to the 1700’s, but by the time that Jonathon and Lyn Maltus arrived at the Estate in 1994, the vineyard consisted of five and a half hectares in the commune of Vignonet on the plain of Saint Emillion.
The vineyards now extend to over fifty hectares under vine, a large part of which are situated amongst Cru Classe terroir on the cotes hugging the village of Saint Emillion.
The main building is Napoleonic from the Second Empire, with the winery cellar, bottling and storage buildings having been completely restored or reconstructed in a style that emulates this period.

"Pezat is produced by Chateau Teyssier, which is a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. The Pezat from the 2011 vintage has a certain elegance and class to it. It has aromatics of bright blackcurrant, cedar and juicy blackberry. The palate has some deli meat and leather characters and, with air, redcurrant, plum and blackberry flavours emerge. This is an elegant, balanced and enjoyable wine that can be approached now or over the next few years and is recommended. It will benefit from at least 20 minutes in a decanter.
