Dark Plum Red Colour with Ruby Hue.
Sweet fruit core of fresh and cooked red and black fruit followed by the savoury green, herbal and cedary nuances loved by Bordeaux drinkers.
In the mouth, red berry compote with black currant intensity leading onto sweet notes of tobacco and toast with an exceptionally elegant mouthfeel finishing long and balanced with lively aromatics.
This Chateau is a Deuxieme Grand Cru Classe en 1855, owned by the renowned Bordeaux family, Lurton, is in the famous Margaux appellation and true to its potential has produced a supple and smooth wine, going on to a subtle and fine evolution as well as a slow tanning progression. This wine is balanced, it shows great maturity and has a very good ageing potential.
Château Brane-Cantenac owes its fame to an exceptional gravelly soil dating back to the quaternary era. When Henri Lurton took over in 1992, he made it his mission to produce the best possible wine so as to reinforce Brane-Cantenac’s position as a second classified growth in 1855 yet remaining faithful to its ‘terroir’ and its prerequisites. A spacious vat room, modern winemaking techniques and a talented team actively contribute to creating each year an elegant, aromatic wine, both complex and well-balanced destined to be kept for many years to come.
